Job Description:
Hiring Immediately! A family-owned manufacturer in the New Caney area is seeking a qualified Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator to join their team! Their products are supplied to transportation, agriculture, construction, power sports, and consumer product market segments domestically and globally.
The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for inbound and outbound traffic, managing the buying and delivery process of goods, and the placement and delivery of purchase orders.
Specific responsibilities may include:
1.
Ensure the accuracy between physical inventory and system inventory movements.
2.
Ensure the day-to-day program transactions are input and maintained accurately.
3.
Review historical trends, identify drivers, and evaluate operational performance/KPIs to improve inventory accuracy.
4.
Generate reports and analyze data in Microsoft Excel to make data-driven decisions.
5.
Coordinate with vendors and internal team members on inbound and outbound, domestic and international logistics.
6.
Provide clerical support on inbound and outbound, domestic and international logistics.
7.
Maintain logs and records of required documentation.
8.
Coordinate inventory management, warehousing, and fulfillment activities to optimize inventory levels.
9.
Lead a variety of logistical functions, including sourcing, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
10.
Coordinate reverse logistics with vendors, external customers, and internal team members.
11.
Escalate complex incidents proactively and in a timely manner.
12.
Triage inbound internal and external customer requests, prioritize tickets in the queue, and solve tickets accordingly.
13.
Investigate and troubleshoot incidents raised by customers; provide timely and consistent responses via telephone, email, and any future channel.
14.
Communicate proactively with customers using clear, professional, and effective communication.
15.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING 1.
BA/BS University degree with a concentration in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Operations.
2.
Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.
EXPERIENCE 1.
Three to five years of Supply Chain and Logistics experience.
2.
Education as described above may be accepted in lieu of experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
) and QuickBooks.
2.
Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies is a plus.
3.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
5.
Able to work independently and on a team.
6.
Able to interact well with vendors and employees at all levels.
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 1.
Sitting, bending, standing, walking, and typing 8 hours daily.
2.
Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
3.
Able to regularly lift 50 lbs.
4.
Occasional exposure to a Batch Chemical production environment.
5.
